Memphis,
TN. – Post Race:
Craig
Treble suffered a rare non-qualifying effort at the O'Reilly
Midsouth Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park. Treble’s
weekend best run put the Matco Tools / Lucas Oil motorcycle
seventeenth, just one position out of the sixteen bike
field.
“We lost a
motor in the first qualifying session and never recovered
from it,” said Treble. “We were forced to go with the last
motor in the trailer for the Friday night go-fast session,
and we didn’t have a tune-up in it capable of putting us in
the field.”
The Friday
night 7.282 / 177.70 pass did temporarily put the Matco
Tools / Lucas Oil motorcycle on the ladder in the No. 15
spot, but after two Saturday qualifying sessions, the Treble
bike was bumped out of the show.
“I can’t
even tell you how much I hate not racing on Sunday,” said
Treble. It’s a shame because the last time we lost a motor
was Denver over a year ago, and now we loose two and miss
the field, it’s very frustrating.
